The White House Estate

Residents of the White House Estate in Leyton Green Road were concerned that their estate was being planned for demolition by Forest Homes L&Q. To answer their concerns Lib Dem Focus Team member Cllr Farooq Qureshi arranged a meeting for tenants of the White House Estate and neighbouring streets with Forest Homes to discuss the future of the Estate. This well-attended meeting was also supported by the Forest South Residents Association and the Forest Safer Neighbourhood Team. Officers from Forest Homes gave a brief presentation, followed by a question and answer session. Forest Homes are planning to relocate White House Estate residents while building works take place. On completion, they will be given first choice of returning to the Estate if they wish.Focus will keep you informed of further developments.
