Traffic congestion - Leyton High Road

Brighton & Hove's growing problem of congestion

Traffic congestion, is it getting worse?

You may have noticed recently that traffic on Leyton High Road tails back from the traffic lights at Grove Green Road to Drapers Road. At first this was due to road works, but now they are finished the hold ups remain the same. In the other direction traffic tails back from the Grove Green junction to Coronation Gardens and beyond. The traffic was never this bad, and may have something to do with the phasing of the traffic lights at this busy junction. The green light only appears long enough to let 3 or 4 cars through at a time. Cars idling in the queues greatly increase air pollution. What do you think about this problem. Please let your Lib Dem Focus teams know.
