Beaumont Estate - Vandals cause major problems

9.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Fri 1st Aug 2008

Tenants of All Saints Tower, which will be the last of the tower blocks on the Beaumont Estate to be demolished, have recently had to live with water coming into their flats and no electricity. Thieves have broken into the vacant flats and other parts of the block and have ripped out pipes and any other metal they can get their hands on. This has caused water to gush into the flats and the electricity to be turned off. Forest Homes has not only had to repair the damage and the piping but has now had to increase security in the block and surrounding areas to stop these vandals continuing to strip the metal from the estate. If any one knows who these people are, then you can contact The Focus Team in confidence.
